The CEB has provided a €50 million ($52.7 million) loan to the Hungarian Development Bank designed to provide essential support to MSMEs undertaking energy-efficiency investments. In alignment with the policies of the Hungarian Government, which prioritize bolstering MSMEs, and the recommendations of the Central Bank of Hungary urging credit institutions to transition to green operations by 2025, MFB is poised to initiate a new program. This initiative, partially financed through the CEB loan, will extend loans to MSMEs that embark on projects aimed at enhancing the energy efficiency of existing buildings or expanding their utilization of renewable energy sources.
